Our Company
Thank you for inquiring about our company. Solar-Screen-Shades.com is owned and operated by Great Lakes Window Coverings. We are located in Holland, Michigan along the beautiful west coast of Lake Michigan. Great Lakes Window Coverings has been a part of the family business since 1970. That's nearly 50 years experience of selling, manufacturing, and installing window coverings.

Our Holland manufacturing facility is an over 10,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, shade production building with a capacity of over 100 solar shades, cellular shades, vision shades and panel blinds per day. As the manufacturer, and not just a distributor, we are able to assure you the finest quality made our own employees. Many of our employees have been with us for over 10 years.

History
Back in 1954, when Jacobus "Jack" Vander Nat immigrated from The Netherlands, he came with one dream. It was the American Dream, to own and operate his own company. After World War II had taken pretty much everything they had, coming to the United States was a exciting adventure. Jacks instilled upon his family the importance of building a quality window covering at fair prices. This philosophy still exists today. Quality solar shades at fair prices.

Commitment
Solar-Screen-Shades.com is a forward thinking company. No job is to big or to small. "Can't" is not a word that is allowed to be used here. Everything is possible. Sometimes it just has not been figured out yet how to do it.

Community
Great Lakes Window Coverings is very involved in the local community. From supporting the local public and Christian schools to coaching middle and high school sports. Some of our employees are local firefighters and we have two Sheriffs deputies working here.
